Who is Geoffery?
My first wedding was my best friend’s and it was all shoot in film. I was using two bodies then; an Nikon FM2 & Minolta Dynax7, brand was not really a major factor as film was the deciding factor when it comes to picture quality. I used Fujifilm NPH (ISO400) , Fujifilm NPZ (ISO800) and Ilford’s Delta (ISO3200) for that wedding. What I did was a favour, a gift for my best friends wedding, never had in my mind that wedding photography will be part of my life.
Now I shoot digitally and with Canon (While film was great, digital offer much advantages). Besides wedding photography, motorsports photography has also become part of daily routine activities.
My forte is actual day (AD) wedding coverage, resulted from my mentor has always subject me to publicity and motorsports events where nothing will stop for you, ‘you’ have to find and be with the moment. Others call this photojournalist, I call it, capturing moments at it’s best, not posed, not faked just natural.
On my past time, I will do portraits for aspiring models as this allows me to test new concept or technique which I could then apply to actual day, pre-wedding or post-wedding shoot.
